The Hyvair XDR2-5.8K-2MP is a pressure transducer in the X Series rated for a 5,800 psi pressure range. It converts the pressure at its port into a 1 to 5 V output for controllers, displays and monitoring equipment. Part number XDR2-5.8K-2MP is the 1/8-27 NPT version.
The 1/8-27 NPT thread is a tapered pipe thread. It seals on the taper when tightened into a female port of the same size, and the small thread fits compact blocks and test points where port space is tight.
Supply voltage is 8 to 30 V, with current draw under 5 mA, so it runs from common 12 V and 24 V control supplies. At the low end of the range the output reads 1 V, and it rises toward 5 V as pressure nears 5,800 psi. Because the signal does not start at 0 V, a controller can tell a zero pressure reading from a disconnected sensor.
Response time is listed at under 1 ms, so the output keeps up with rapid changes in system pressure.
