The Hyvair PS20-5K-K is a PS20 Series pressure switch with a K knob and an adjustable range of 700 to 5,000 psi. A pressure switch changes the state of an electrical contact when system pressure reaches its set point, so the control circuit can respond when pressure reaches that point. This is part number PS20-5K-K.
The K knob is the adjustment for the switch point. Turning it sets where in the 700 to 5,000 psi range the switch trips, and the setting can be changed by hand as the needs of the circuit change.
The pressure port is 1/4 in female NPT. The switch threads onto a 1/4 in male NPT nipple or adapter at the point you want to watch. NPT is a tapered pipe thread that seals on the taper as it is tightened.
The PS20 Series is rated for hydraulic, lubricating and light oils up to a maximum viscosity of 450 SSU (1000 mm²/s). Check the viscosity of your oil at its lowest operating temperature against that limit.
