The Hyvair PS20-1K is a pressure switch from the PS20 Series with a pressure range of 90 to 1,000 psi. A pressure switch opens or closes an electrical contact when system pressure reaches its set point, which gives a control circuit an on or off signal tied to pressure. This is part number PS20-1K.
The 90 to 1,000 psi range is the span within which the switch point is set. The low end starts at 90 psi and the top of the range is 1,000 psi.
The switch connects through a 1/4 in female NPT port. It threads onto a 1/4 in male NPT nipple, adapter or fitting where you want to monitor pressure. NPT is a tapered pipe thread that seals on the taper as it is tightened.
The PS20 Series is rated for hydraulic, lubricating and light oils with a maximum viscosity of 450 SSU (1000 mm²/s). Check the viscosity of your oil at its coldest operating temperature, since that is when it is thickest.
Choose the PS20-1K when the set point you need falls between 90 and 1,000 psi on a 1/4 in female NPT connection.
