The Hyvair PS20-1.5K-K is a PS20 Series pressure switch with a K knob and a pressure range of 200 to 1,000 psi. A pressure switch opens or closes an electrical contact when system pressure reaches its set point, giving a control circuit a simple on or off signal based on pressure. This is part number PS20-1.5K-K.
The K knob is the adjustment knob for the switch point. It lets you set where the switch trips within the 200 to 1,000 psi range by hand, and change that setting later as the circuit or the machine changes.
The pressure connection is a 1/4 in female NPT port, so the switch threads onto a 1/4 in male NPT fitting, nipple or adapter. NPT is a tapered pipe thread that seals on the taper as it is tightened.
The PS20 Series is listed for hydraulic, lubricating and light oils with a maximum viscosity of 450 SSU (1000 mm²/s). Oil thicker than that at operating temperature falls outside the rating, so check the fluid grade and its viscosity at the lowest temperature the system sees.
Choose the PS20-1.5K-K when the switch point sits between 200 and 1,000 psi and you want to set it with a knob.
