The Hyvair XDR2-5.8K-4MP is an X Series pressure transducer with a 5,800 psi range and a 1 to 5 V output. It threads into a 1/4-18 NPT port and turns hydraulic pressure into a voltage signal for a PLC, controller or display.
At 5,800 psi, this is a high range model for circuits that run at high working pressure. Choose it when normal pressure sits well below 5,800 psi so the transducer has headroom for spikes; for lower pressure circuits, a smaller range gives finer resolution.
The output scales from 1 V toward 5 V across the range. Because the signal begins at 1 V, a 0 V reading points to a wiring or supply fault rather than zero pressure. Response time is under 1 ms, so the signal follows quick pressure changes and peaks.
Supply voltage can run from 8 to 30 V, and supply current is under 5 mA, so a standard 12 V or 24 V control supply can power it. The 1/4-18 NPT male thread fits common 1/4 NPT ports and adapters. Seal the thread with a sealant suited to hydraulic service, and install the unit only in a port and fitting rated for the full pressure of the circuit.
