The Hyvair PS20-3.6K is a PS20 Series pressure switch with an adjustable range of 500 to 3,600 psi. It opens or closes an electrical contact when pressure in the circuit reaches the set point, so a relay, alarm or controller can act on that pressure. This is part number PS20-3.6K.
The set point can be placed anywhere within the 500 to 3,600 psi range. The wide span lets one switch model cover set points from 500 psi all the way to 3,600 psi.
The switch has a 1/4 in female NPT pressure port. It threads onto a 1/4 in male NPT nipple, adapter or fitting at the point in the circuit you want to watch. NPT is a tapered pipe thread that seals on the taper as it is tightened.
Rated fluids are hydraulic, lubricating and light oils with a maximum viscosity of 450 SSU (1000 mm²/s). Confirm that your oil stays under that limit at its lowest operating temperature.
