The Hyvair XDR2-1K-2MP is an X Series pressure transducer with a 1,000 psi range, a 1 to 5 V output and a 1/8-27 NPT male connection. It turns hydraulic pressure into an analog voltage that a PLC, controller or panel display can read and scale.
The 1 to 5 V signal starts at 1 V rather than zero. Because of that offset, a reading of 0 V points to a broken wire or a power fault instead of zero pressure, which makes wiring problems easier to spot. The output scales across the 1,000 psi range, and response time is under 1 ms, so the signal keeps up with fast pressure changes.
The transducer accepts a supply of 8 to 30 V and draws less than 5 mA. That wide input range lets it run from the 12 V or 24 V supplies common on mobile and industrial control systems.
A 1,000 psi range suits lower pressure circuits, pilot lines and test points where resolution at the low end matters. Pick a range so that normal working pressure sits well inside the span, with headroom for spikes. Seal the 1/8-27 NPT thread with a sealant suited to hydraulic service and install the unit in a port rated for system pressure.
