The Hyvair XDR1-5.8K-2MP is an X Series pressure transducer with a 5,800 psi pressure range. It converts hydraulic pressure into a 0.5 to 4.5 V output signal for controllers, displays and data loggers. Part number XDR1-5.8K-2MP is the 1/8-27 NPT version of the 5,800 psi model.
It installs in a 1/8-27 NPT port. NPT is a tapered pipe thread, so the joint seals on the taper as it is drawn into a matching female port. The 1/8 in thread size takes up little room on a block or line.
Supply voltage is 5 V plus or minus 0.5 V, and supply current is under 5 mA. At the low end of the range the output reads 0.5 V, and it rises toward 4.5 V as pressure approaches 5,800 psi. Because the working signal stays between the supply rails, a reading of 0 V or 5 V points to a wiring fault rather than a pressure value.
The response time is under 1 ms, so the output tracks fast changes in system pressure.
