The Hyvair XDR2-2K-4MP is an X Series pressure transducer with a 2,000 psi range, a 1 to 5 V output and a 1/4-18 NPT male connection. It measures pressure in a hydraulic line and sends a matching voltage to a PLC, controller or display.
The signal scales from 1 V to 5 V across the range. Because it starts at 1 V, a 0 V reading tells you there is a wiring or supply fault rather than zero pressure. Response time is under 1 ms, so pressure peaks and quick changes show up in the signal.
Supply voltage can run from 8 to 30 V, and supply current is under 5 mA. The transducer can share a 12 V or 24 V control supply without adding much load.
A 2,000 psi range fits circuits that run well below that figure in normal service while leaving room for spikes. The 1/4-18 NPT thread fits standard 1/4 NPT ports and adapters. Use a thread sealant suited to hydraulic service, install the unit in a port rated for system pressure, and route the cable away from high-current wiring to keep the voltage signal clean.
