The Hyvair XDR1-5.8K-4MP is an X Series pressure transducer with a 5,800 psi pressure range and a 1/4 in-18 NPT thread. It turns system pressure into a 0.5 to 4.5 V output signal.
A pressure transducer reads pressure at its port and converts it into an electrical signal for a controller, gauge display or data acquisition system. On this model the output runs from 0.5 to 4.5 V across the pressure range. Select it when the circuit’s normal operating pressure falls within the 5,800 psi range.
Electrical requirements are a 5 V supply, plus or minus 0.5 V, with a supply current of less than 5 mA. Response time is less than 1 ms, so the signal keeps pace with rapid pressure changes.
The pressure connection is a 1/4 in-18 NPT tapered pipe thread. Install it in a matching 1/4 in NPT port and use a suitable thread sealant. Avoid over-tightening, since a tapered thread seals as it is drawn into the port.
Before installation, confirm that your controller input accepts a 0.5 to 4.5 V signal and can provide the 5 V supply. Allow margin between normal operating pressure and the top of the range for pressure spikes.
