The Zinga ZAE10 spin-on filter element, part number ZAE10, uses Z-Glass media rated 10 micron absolute at Beta 200, which is 99.5% efficiency. It threads onto Zinga ZAF Series filter heads on a 1-12 UN thread. A spin-on element carries its media inside a sealed can, so a change-out means unscrewing the spent can and threading on a new one.
Efficiency rises with particle size. At 12 micron the element reaches Beta 1000, or 99.9% efficiency. A Beta ratio compares the particle count upstream of the media with the count downstream at a given size, so a higher number means fewer particles get through.
The can is 3.8 in in diameter and 5.8 in tall, finished white with a red imprint. It is rated to 250 psi operating pressure with an 80 psid maximum differential and temperatures up to 250°F. A Buna-N gasket seals the element to the head.
The ZAE Series also includes a 3 micron element and a taller 8.5 in version of the 10 micron element, both on the same 1-12 UN thread. Pair the ZAE10 with the ZAF10251235 filter head. Use it with petroleum based fluids. Do not use ZAE Series elements on internal combustion engines.
