The Hyvair HMS-160-B2KP is an orbital hydraulic motor in the HMS Series. Orbital motors convert hydraulic flow into low speed, high torque rotation, which lets them drive many loads without a gear reducer.
The motor is rated for 15.9 gpm of flow and a maximum speed of 370 rpm. Maximum torque is 2743 in-lb continuous and 3346 in-lb intermittent. Maximum pressure is 2031 psi continuous and 2538 psi intermittent. Rated output is 13 hp.
Use the continuous ratings for normal operation. The intermittent ratings apply to short periods, such as starting a load or handling a brief peak.
The motor mounts on an SAE A 2-bolt flange with a 3.25 in pilot. The output shaft is a 1 in straight keyed shaft with a 1/4 in key. Ports are 1/2-14 NPTF, a tapered pipe thread that seals on the thread, so install fittings with a sealant compatible with your fluid.
Speed depends on the flow you supply and torque on the pressure. Check that flow to the motor stays within 15.9 gpm and that the relief setting holds normal working pressure within the 2031 psi continuous rating.
