The Hyvair HMS-050-B4KP is an orbital hydraulic motor in the HMS Series. Orbital motors convert hydraulic flow into low speed, high torque shaft rotation, so they can drive many loads directly without a gear reducer.
The motor is rated for 10.6 gpm of flow and a maximum speed of 770 rpm. Maximum torque is 885 in-lb continuous and 1044 in-lb intermittent. Maximum pressure is 2031 psi continuous and 2538 psi intermittent. Rated output is 9 hp.
Use the continuous ratings for normal operation. The intermittent figures are for short periods, such as breaking a load free at startup.
This model mounts on an SAE A 4-bolt flange with a 1.75 in pilot. The shaft is a 1 in straight keyed shaft with a 1/4 in key. Ports are 1/2-14 NPTF, a dryseal tapered pipe thread that seals on the thread, so fit them with sealant compatible with your fluid or use matching NPTF fittings.
Motor speed depends on the flow you supply, and torque depends on the pressure. Check that pump flow at the motor stays within 10.6 gpm and that the relief setting holds working pressure within the continuous rating during normal duty. Confirm that your mounting bracket matches the 4-bolt pattern and 1.75 in pilot.
