The Hyvair SD08-16FS-S is a side ported subplate in the SD08 Series, made of ductile cast iron. It provides a mounting surface for one D08 pattern directional valve and routes the valve’s passages to ports on the side of the plate.
The subplate is rated for a nominal flow of 50 gpm and a maximum pressure of 5000 psi.
The ports are 1 in female SAE straight thread ports. SAE straight thread ports seal with an O-ring on the fitting, so the seal does not rely on the thread. Fittings can be removed and refitted during service without redoing a thread seal.
Side porting lets the lines leave the plate horizontally, which suits wall, frame or panel mounting where there is no access from behind. At this port size, support the lines so their weight is not carried by the plate.
With a subplate, the piping stays connected while the valve bolts on top, so the valve can be serviced or swapped without breaking the plumbing. Confirm that the valve you choose uses the D08 mounting pattern and that its own ratings suit your circuit. Keep system pressure at or below 5000 psi and flow within the 50 gpm nominal rating.
