The Hyvair SD08-16FP-S is a side ported subplate in the SD08 Series, made of ductile cast iron. It provides a mounting surface for one D08 pattern directional valve and brings the valve’s passages out to ports on the side of the plate.
It is rated for a nominal flow of 50 gpm and a maximum pressure of 5000 psi.
The ports are 1 in female pipe thread. Pipe threads seal on the taper of the thread, so use a thread sealant compatible with your hydraulic fluid when you install fittings. At this port size, support the lines so that their weight does not load the plate threads.
Side porting lets the lines run horizontally from the plate, which suits wall, frame or panel mounting with no access from behind.
A subplate keeps the piping attached to the plate while the valve bolts on top, so the valve can be serviced or replaced without opening the lines. Confirm that the valve you plan to mount uses the D08 pattern and that its own flow and pressure ratings fit your circuit. Keep system pressure at or below 5000 psi and flow within the 50 gpm nominal rating.
