The Hyvair SD05-8FS-S is a side ported subplate in the SD05 Series, made of ductile cast iron. It provides a mounting surface for one D05 pattern directional valve and routes the valve’s P, T, A and B passages to ports on the side of the plate.
The ports are 1/2 in female SAE straight thread ports. SAE straight thread ports seal with an O-ring on the fitting, so the seal does not rely on the thread. Fittings can be removed and refitted during service without redoing a thread seal.
Side porting lets lines leave the plate horizontally, which suits wall, frame or panel mounting where there is no access from behind.
The subplate is rated for a nominal flow of 12 gpm and a maximum pressure of 5000 psi.
With the valve on a subplate, the piping stays connected to the plate while the valve bolts on top, so you can service or replace the valve without disturbing the lines. Confirm that the valve you choose uses the D05 mounting pattern and that its own ratings suit your circuit. Keep system pressure at or below 5000 psi and circuit flow within the 12 gpm nominal rating.
