The Hyvair SD03-6FP-B is a bottom ported subplate in the SD03 Series, made of ductile cast iron. It provides a mounting surface for one D03 pattern directional valve and carries the valve’s P, T, A and B passages out to threaded ports.
On a bottom ported subplate, the ports exit through the underside of the plate. That arrangement suits panel or manifold mounting where lines come up through the mounting surface, and it keeps the sides of the plate clear.
The ports are 3/8 in female pipe thread. Pipe threads seal on the taper of the thread, so use a thread sealant that is compatible with your hydraulic fluid when you install the fittings.
The subplate is rated for a nominal flow of 5 gpm and a maximum pressure of 5000 psi.
A subplate lets you replace or service the valve without disturbing the piping, since the lines stay connected to the plate while the valve bolts on top. When you choose a valve for this plate, confirm that it uses the D03 mounting pattern and that its own pressure and flow ratings fit your circuit. Keep system pressure at or below 5000 psi.
