The Hyvair PCP33-2PSO is a dual pressure solenoid control for Hyvair industrial piston pumps in the PCP33 Series, listed with our 33 GPM industrial piston pumps. It is a control assembly, not a complete pump. Fitted to a compatible PCP33 pump, it lets operators or machine controls switch electrically between two preset pressure settings.
A pressure compensator holds a variable displacement pump at a set pressure by reducing displacement once that pressure is reached. The dual pressure control gives the pump two compensator settings and uses a solenoid to choose between them. One solenoid state selects the first pressure; the other selects the second.
Using the lower setting during idle or light load parts of a cycle reduces horsepower demand and heat generation, and the higher setting stays available when the machine needs full force. Less heat also means less wear on pumps, valves and seals over time. Because the change is electrical, a PLC or relay circuit can select either pressure with no manual adjustment.
