The Hyvair G10.0-2AK-3 is the 10 gpm size in the G Series of external gear pumps. It is rated for 2,900 psi maximum pressure and 2,200 rpm maximum speed. Two meshing gears carry oil around the housing from inlet to outlet, so the pump moves a fixed volume with each turn of the shaft.
This size has a lower pressure limit than the smaller G Series SAE A pumps. Plan your relief valve setting at or below 2,900 psi, and keep the drive at or under 2,200 rpm.
The pump mounts on an SAE A, 2 bolt flange. The drive shaft is a 5/8 in diameter keyed shaft with a 5/32 in wide square key. Check your coupling before ordering.
Ports are SAE straight thread. The inlet is #12 with a 1 1/16-12 thread, and the outlet is #10 with a 7/8-14 thread. At 10 gpm, a short, full size suction line helps the pump fill without cavitation. Flow is proportional to speed, so running below 2,200 rpm reduces output.
The G10.0-2AK-3 tops the SAE A 3.25 in, 3 to 10 gpm gear pump category. It fits machines that need the most flow available from this mount at a working pressure under 2,900 psi.
