The Zinga SS10000 is an SS Series hydraulic suction strainer with 100 mesh standard media and a 14 gpm flow rating. A suction strainer goes on the pump inlet side and stops large debris before the pump can draw it in.
The outlet port is 1 in NPTF. The strainer measures 3.2 in outside diameter and 5.3 in long, a short body for reservoirs or mounting points with limited depth.
A 100 mesh screen has 100 openings per linear inch. That coarse grade suits suction service, where the goal is to stop larger particles while keeping restriction low. Too much restriction on the inlet can starve the pump, so the strainer has to be sized for the pump’s flow.
Operating temperature is rated up to 250°F.
Compare the 14 gpm rating with your pump’s flow before ordering. If the pump draws more than that, choose a strainer rated for the higher flow. Inspect and clean the screen at regular intervals so debris does not build up and restrict flow to the pump.
