The Zinga RE409100R is an RE Series tank mount filter element with 141 micron stainless steel mesh media and inside to outside flow. A mesh element uses a metal screen in place of pleated depth media, stopping larger debris while keeping restriction low.
The element is 3.91 in outside diameter, 1.96 in inside diameter and 9.19 in long. Check the flow direction and media grade along with size when ordering a replacement.
The micron rating and nominal rating are both listed at 141 microns, a coarse grade meant for larger particles.
Inside to outside flow means fluid enters through the center core and passes out through the outer surface of the screen. That is the reverse of an outside to inside element, so the housing has to route flow the same way. Because mesh stops particles at its surface, debris collects on the inner face of the screen. Installing the wrong flow direction can affect how the element loads and how it holds up.
Inspect the screen at regular intervals and clear collected debris so it does not restrict flow.
