The Zinga RE40903 is an RE Series tank mount filter element with 3 micron cellulose media and bi-directional flow. A tank mount element sits inside a filter housing on the reservoir and cleans the fluid that passes through it before it reaches the tank.
The element measures 3.91 in outside diameter, 1.96 in inside diameter and 9.19 in long. Confirm all three dimensions against your housing when ordering a replacement.
Efficiency is listed two ways. The nominal rating is β<4µ(c) = 2 and the absolute rating is β11µ(c) = 75. A beta ratio compares particle counts upstream and downstream of the media at a given size: a ratio of 2 means about half of the particles at that size are captured, and a ratio of 75 means about 98.7 percent are captured.
Bi-directional flow means the element is rated for flow in either direction through the media, from outside to inside or inside to outside.
Cellulose is a common depth media for general hydraulic filtration, and 3 microns is a fine grade for circuits where small particles matter. Fine media fills faster than coarse media in the same size, so watch the pressure drop and change the element when it rises.
