The Hyvair AC8-3PH is an AC Series air oil cooler with a 1/4 HP three-phase fan motor. Hot hydraulic oil runs through the cooler core while the fan moves ambient air across it, carrying heat away from the oil without a water supply.
The fan motor turns at 1575 rpm. It is rated for 230/460 VAC at 60 Hz and 190/380 VAC at 50 Hz, so it can be connected for either voltage of its pair on a three-phase supply. Full load current is 1.25 A at 230 VAC and 0.63 A at 460 VAC. Use those figures to size the motor starter, overload protection and wiring, and connect the motor per its nameplate for your supply.
Working pressure for the cooler is 375 psi. Air oil coolers are usually plumbed where line pressure is low, such as a return line or a separate cooling loop. Check the pressure at the point where you plan to install the cooler, including pressure spikes, and keep it at or below 375 psi.
Cooler oil holds its viscosity better and breaks down more slowly, which helps protect pumps, valves and seals. Mount the cooler where it has a clear supply of ambient air, and keep the fins clean so airflow stays up.
