The Hyvair AC40-3PH is an AC Series air oil cooler with a 1 HP three-phase fan motor. Hydraulic oil flows through the cooler core while the fan moves ambient air across it, removing heat from the oil without a water supply.
The fan motor turns at 1745 rpm. It is rated for 230/460 VAC at 60 Hz and 190/380 VAC at 50 Hz. Full load current is 3.18 A at 230 VAC and 1.59 A at 460 VAC. Use those values to size the motor starter, overload protection and wiring, and connect the motor for your voltage per its nameplate.
Working pressure for this cooler is 215 psi. Install it where line pressure stays low, such as a return line or a separate cooling loop, and confirm that pressure at that point, including surges, stays at or below 215 psi.
Lower oil temperature helps the oil keep its viscosity and slows breakdown, which protects pumps, valves and seals. Mount the cooler with a clear path for air through the core, keep the fins clean, and check fan rotation after wiring.
