The Hyvair D03M-4C is a D03 series manual lever valve, a lever-operated directional control valve built to the NFPA D03 interface. It is a 3 position, detented valve. In the center position, P connects to T and both A and B are blocked.
That center is commonly called a tandem center. With the lever in center, pump flow returns to tank at low pressure while the work ports stay closed, so a cylinder or motor on A and B is held in place by the blocked ports. Moving the lever shifts the spool to send flow to one work port and return the other to tank.
The valve is detented, so the spool stays in the selected position until the operator moves the lever again. It does not spring back to center on release.
The P, A and B ports are rated for 3,000 psi, and the T port is rated for 1,000 psi. Rated flow is 7 gpm at 3,000 psi and 10 gpm at 1,000 psi. Working temperature is 40 to 160 °F. The NFPA D03 mounting and standard porting make installation and service straightforward on a D03 subplate or manifold. Keep return pressure within the T port rating.
