The Hyvair D03M-4B is a D03 manual lever valve, a directional control valve that the operator shifts by hand. It directs flow between the pump, tank and actuator ports to control the direction of a cylinder or motor.
This is a 3 position, detented valve. A detent holds the spool in each of its three positions, so the lever stays where the operator sets it until it is moved again.
The spool function is All Ports Blocked. In the center position, all four ports are blocked. The pump is cut off from the work ports, and the A and B lines are closed off from both pump and tank while the lever is centered.
Flow is rated at 7 gpm at 3,000 psi and 10 gpm at 1,000 psi. The P, A and B ports are rated for 3,000 psi operating pressure, and the T port is rated for 1,000 psi, so keep tank line back pressure below that limit. The working temperature range is 40°F to 160°F.
