The Hyvair D03M-4A is a D03 manual lever valve, a compact directional control valve shifted by hand. It is a 3 position, detented valve with a listed flow path of P to A, B to T. It comes ready to mount on a D03 interface.
Detented means the spool stays where the operator puts it. Once the lever is moved into a position, a detent holds it there until the operator moves it again. That differs from a spring centered valve, which returns to center when the lever is released. A detented valve suits functions that should keep running without the operator holding the lever.
The P, A and B ports are rated for 3,000 psi, and the T port is rated for 1,000 psi. Rated flow is 7 gpm at 3,000 psi and 10 gpm at 1,000 psi. Working temperature is 40 to 160 °F.
Manual lever control is useful where electric or pilot signals are impractical or not wanted. The valve mounts on a D03 subplate or manifold, sold separately. When laying out the circuit, keep return line pressure within the 1,000 psi T port rating and match pump flow to the flow ratings above. The D03 series is offered in multiple spool configurations if a different flow path is needed.
