The Hyvair D03M-2B is a D03 series manual lever valve for directional control. It is a 3 position, spring centered valve, and its spool function is all ports blocked.
With a manual lever valve, the operator shifts the spool by hand. Each lever position connects the pressure, tank and work ports differently, which lets the operator extend, retract or hold an actuator. Springs on this valve return the spool to center when the lever is released. With all ports blocked, the P, T, A and B ports are closed to each other, so flow through the valve stops.
Performance is listed at 7 gpm at 3,000 psi and 10 gpm at 1,000 psi. The P, A and B ports carry a 3,000 psi rating, while the T port is rated to 1,000 psi. Size the return line so that tank pressure stays within that limit.
The valve is rated for working temperatures from 40°F to 160°F.
A blocked spool function stops pump flow at the valve, so plan for where that flow goes, such as a relief valve or a pressure compensated pump. The D03 series designation identifies the mounting size, and the valve mounts on a D03 subplate or manifold station.
