The Hyvair SSBV-4FS is an SS Series high pressure ball valve in stainless steel with a 1/4 in full port and female SAE connections. It is rated to 7,250 psi maximum, with a temperature range of -30°F to 212°F.
A ball valve opens and closes with a quarter turn. The handle rotates a ball with a bore through its center. With the bore aligned to the ports, fluid passes. A 90 degree turn puts the solid side of the ball across the path and closes the line. It is a direct way to isolate a small line or branch.
Full port means the bore through the ball matches the nominal 1/4 in size. The open valve does not narrow the flow path, so pressure drop across it stays low.
The female SAE ports use SAE straight threads. These seal with an O-ring on the mating fitting, not on the threads, so no sealant enters the fluid. The 4 in the part number is the SAE dash size for 1/4 in.
