The Hyvair SSBV-8FP is a 1/2 in high pressure stainless steel ball valve with a full port and female NPT connections. It is part of the SS Series, a line of stainless shutoff valves for industrial fluid control. A quarter turn of the handle opens or closes the valve.
The SS Series uses 316 stainless steel construction with PTFE seats and seals and a serviceable multi-piece body. The multi-piece design lets the valve be taken apart for seat and seal replacement, and the full port design keeps the bore the same size as the 1/2 in port.
The specifications list a 7250 psi maximum pressure rating and a temperature rating of -30 to 212°F. The full port bore keeps flow restriction low when the valve is open, and the ball and seats give leak-tight shutoff when it is closed.
Female NPT ports accept standard male pipe-thread fittings. Stainless steel resists corrosion, and the low operating torque of a ball valve makes on/off control simple for the technician. The valve fits hydraulic systems, test stands, instrumentation and process lines, and OEM equipment that calls for a serviceable stainless valve.
