The Hyvair D05M-4C is a D05 manual lever valve, a directional control valve that the operator shifts by hand. It directs flow between the pump, tank and actuator ports to control the direction of a cylinder or motor.
This is a 3 position, detented valve. A detent holds the spool in each of its three positions, so the lever stays where the operator sets it until it is moved again.
The spool function is P to T, A and B Blocked. In the center position, P is connected to T while A and B are blocked. Pump flow returns to tank at low pressure, and the work ports are closed off while the lever is centered.
Flow is rated at 12 gpm at 3,000 psi and 18 gpm at 1,000 psi. The P, A and B ports are rated for 3,000 psi operating pressure, and the T port is rated for 1,000 psi, so keep tank line back pressure below that limit. The working temperature range is 40°F to 160°F.
