The Hyvair PRC20-6FP-1K is a PRC20 Series pressure reducing valve with an integral reverse flow check and 3/8 in female NPT ports. The reduced pressure setting adjusts from 100 to 1,000 psi. It handles up to 13 gpm, uses a pilot flow of 0.25 gpm and is rated for fluid temperatures up to 180°F.
A pressure reducing valve holds a branch of the circuit at a lower pressure than the main supply. As pressure at the outlet rises toward the setting, the valve closes down on the inlet and holds the branch at that pressure, even when supply pressure is higher. The pilot flow is the small, steady amount of oil the pilot stage uses to control the main stage, and it drains back to tank.
The reverse flow check lets oil return freely from the reduced pressure side back to the inlet. Without it, return flow from an actuator would have to pass back through the reducing stage.
The valve can be vented for remote pressure control. Its female NPT ports thread onto male pipe fittings for in-line mounting. Confirm your setting range, flow and fluid temperature against these ratings before ordering.
