The Hyvair PRC20-20FP-3K is a PRC20 Series pressure reducing valve with a built-in reverse flow check. It has 1-1/4 in NPT female pipe ports, adjusts from 1,000 to 3,500 psi, and is rated to 66 gpm.
A pressure reducing valve holds one branch of a circuit at a lower pressure than the supply. As downstream pressure approaches the setting, the valve throttles inlet flow and keeps the reduced line at that value, regardless of higher pressure upstream.
The reverse flow check lets oil return freely from the reduced side back toward the inlet. Without it, return flow would have to pass through the reducing element. With it, an actuator on the reduced branch can retract or discharge without restriction.
Maximum flow is 66 gpm. The valve uses a pilot flow of 0.4 gpm, which is part of how the pilot stage controls the main stage; include that small continuous flow when you size the pump. Maximum fluid temperature is 180°F.
The adjustment range, 1,000 to 3,500 psi, covers the reduced pressure you can set. Confirm that your required branch pressure falls in that window and that the 1-1/4 in NPT connections match your piping before you order.
