The Hyvair PRC20-12FP-1K is a PRC20 Series pressure reducing valve with a built-in reverse flow check and 3/4 in female NPT ports. Reduced pressure adjusts from 100 to 1,000 psi, with flow up to 33 gpm, a pilot flow of 0.25 gpm and a maximum fluid temperature of 180°F.
A pressure reducing valve holds a branch circuit at a lower pressure than the main supply. As outlet pressure rises toward the setting, the valve closes down on the inlet and keeps the branch at that pressure. A small pilot stage controls the main stage, using a steady 0.25 gpm of oil that drains back to tank.
The reverse flow check gives oil coming back from the reduced pressure side a free path to the inlet, so return flow from an actuator does not have to pass through the reducing stage.
The valve has remote venting capability, which lets a separate pilot valve control the reduced pressure from another location. The 1K range covers lower branch pressures, from 100 to 1,000 psi, and the 3/4 in size carries up to 33 gpm. Its female NPT ports thread onto male pipe fittings for in-line mounting.
