The POR20-12FS-3K is a pilot operated relief valve from the POR20 Series with 3/4 in #12 female SAE ports. A relief valve limits the maximum pressure in a hydraulic circuit by opening a path to tank when system pressure reaches its setting.
In a pilot operated design, a small pilot stage senses system pressure and controls a larger main stage. When pressure reaches the pilot setting, the pilot opens and the main stage shifts to pass flow to tank. This lets a compact valve handle high flow while holding its setting more closely across the flow range than a direct acting valve of similar size.
The valve is rated for a minimum flow of 2 gpm and a maximum flow of 50 gpm. Maximum temperature is 180°F. Connections are female SAE straight thread ports in the #12 size, which corresponds to 3/4 in. SAE straight thread ports seal with an O-ring on the mating fitting, not on the threads.
