The Hyvair SBV-8FS is a high pressure steel ball valve with 1/2 in (8 SAE) female ports and a full port bore. It is a two-way, quarter-turn valve rated to 7,250 psi maximum and specified for oil media in hydraulic circuits.
A ball valve opens and closes with a quarter turn. A bored ball inside the steel body rotates to line up with the flow path or turns crosswise to block it. That gives fast, positive on and off control, and the handle position shows the valve state.
Full port means the bore through the ball matches the 1/2 in nominal size. Flow passes without being choked at the valve, which keeps pressure drop low.
The SAE female ports seal with an O-ring boss fitting, a connection common on hydraulic components and manifolds. Use matching #8 SAE male fittings when you plumb the valve in. The temperature rating is 14°F to 212°F.
The SBV-8FS is part of the Hyvair S Series of high pressure steel ball valves, which includes NPT versions in the same sizes. Choose the SAE version when your system is plumbed with SAE straight-thread fittings and needs a manual isolation point rated to 7,250 psi.
