The Hyvair SBV-8FP is a high pressure steel ball valve with a 1/2 in female NPT connection and a full port bore. It is a two-way valve rated to 7,250 psi maximum and is specified for oil media in hydraulic circuits.
A ball valve opens and closes with a quarter turn of the handle. Inside the body, a bored ball rotates to align with the line for flow or turns crosswise to stop it. The result is positive, manual shutoff that is easy to read at a glance.
The full port design keeps the bore through the ball equal to the 1/2 in line size, so flow is not choked down at the valve and pressure drop stays low. The steel body carries the 7,250 psi rating in a compact form.
The SBV-8FP is rated for 14°F to 212°F. It belongs to the Hyvair S Series of high pressure steel ball valves, which spans several sizes and offers female NPT and female SAE connections.
The 1/2 in female pipe threads accept standard male NPT fittings. Install the SBV-8FP as an isolation valve on high pressure oil lines, at test points or ahead of components that need periodic service.
