The Hyvair Solenoid Pilot Operated Directional Valve D08S-2F-24D-ED-35 is for hydraulic system builders, OEMs and maintenance technicians replacing or specifying manifold-mounted valves.
This Hyvair D08 solenoid pilot operated directional valve, part number D08S-2F-24D-ED-35, uses a D03 solenoid pilot stage to shift a large main spool on the NFPA D08 / ISO 4401-08 pattern, rated to 4600 psi and 75 gpm. Two solenoids shift the spool in either direction, and springs return it to center, where P is blocked while A and B are open to T. The actuator can float in center.
The ED option drains the pilot stage externally through the Y port, which raises the tank port rating to 3000 psi. The 24 VDC pilot coils wire into an electrical box with a terminal strip and indicator lights. The oil-immersed pilot solenoid runs quietly, and plug-in coils change out without disturbing wiring. Keep pilot pressure at least 70 psi above tank port back pressure. Hyvair designs the valve for 20 million spool shifts.
The tank port is rated to 3000 psi. Recommended filtration is 25 micron, ISO 18/15. Fluid temperature range is 40 to 160 °F. Fluid viscosity range is 80 to 300 SUS.
