It maintains a constant flow from the priority port regardless of downstream load pressure or bypass pressure once a minimum pressure drop (adjustable roughly 4.8–13.8 bar / 70–200 psi) is achieved, with a nominal pressure drop of about 9 bar (130 psi). The cartridge offers ±25% adjustment around the nominal setting and two flow ranges (low: 1.9–9.5 lpm in 1.9 lpm steps; high: 11.4–22.7 lpm in 3.8 lpm steps), operates to 207 bar (body materials rated higher for steel/ductile iron), fits a 10‑3 cavity, and is compatible with mineral‑based fluids at viscosities from ~7.4 to 420 cSt over –40°C to +120°C.

By stabilizing flow independent of load variations, the LPFR-10-K-6 improves actuator speed control, sequencing reliability and protection of downstream components while preventing overruns and hysteresis in mobile and industrial hydraulics.
