Description
Cartridge Regulator, Pressure Compensated Flow Control Valve LPFR-10-K-4 is a cartridge-style, adjustable pressure-compensated flow control designed to deliver a stable, metered flow from the priority port regardless of downstream load changes or bypass-leg pressurization; it begins to pressure-compensate once a minimum pressure drop of about 4.8–13.8 bar (70–200 psi) is reached and is adjustable ±25% from nominal settings for fine tuning The valve is offered in low (1.9–9.5 lpm / 0.5–2.5 gpm) and high (11.4–22.7 lpm / 3.0–6.0 gpm) flow ranges with specified increment adjustments, a nominal pressure drop near 9 bar (130 psi), a 207 bar (≈3000 psi) aluminum body rating (higher ratings available in steel or ductile iron), a standard 10-3 cavity, and a wide operating temperature range of –40°F to +250°F (–40°C to +120°C); it accepts mineral-based fluids with viscosities from about 7.4 to 420 cSt.
This regulator delivers consistent actuator speeds and predictable flow sharing in priority/bypass circuits under variable loads, reducing the need for frequent readjustment and minimizing pressure-induced speed drift in mobile and industrial hydraulic systems; its cartridge format simplifies manifold installation and replacement for compact, serviceable designs. Typical applications include priority-feed circuits for steering or control valves, metering to hydraulic actuators and cylinders where constant flow is required independent of load pressure, and systems that require robust temperature and viscosity tolerance across a wide operating envelope.
