The Hyvair BBV-6FP is a 3/8 in brass ball valve with female NPT pipe ports. It is part of the B Series and gives quarter-turn shutoff for isolating a line or a component.
A ball valve controls flow with a drilled ball held between two seats. Turn the handle a quarter turn and the bore lines up with the pipe for full flow; turn it back and the solid side of the ball blocks the line. The simple ball-and-seat design gives smooth operation and low leakage potential.
The body is brass, which offers good corrosion resistance in general industrial service. The pressure rating depends on temperature: the valve is rated to 600 psi at 100°F, dropping to 100 psi at 375°F. Check your operating temperature against that range before you put the valve on a pressurized line.
The 3/8 in female pipe connection accepts standard male NPT fittings and nipples, and the compact body fits tight installations. The BBV-6FP handles isolation and on/off flow control in hydraulic, pneumatic and general-purpose systems, and it is a practical part for maintenance stock and OEM builds.
