The Hyvair BBV-12FP is a brass ball valve with 3/4 in female NPT connections, built for manual on and off isolation in piping. It is rated to 600 psi at 100°F, with the rating decreasing as temperature rises, down to 100 psi at 375°F.
A ball valve opens or closes with a quarter turn of the handle. A bored ball inside the body lines up with the pipe to open the line and turns crosswise to close it, giving positive shutoff and a visible indication of position.
The body, bonnet, ball and stem are brass. The ball seats are PTFE and the O-rings are NBR. The handle and nut are steel. PTFE seats give the valve low operating torque, and the brass construction resists corrosion.
The BBV-12FP is part of the Hyvair B Series of brass ball valves. The pressure rating depends on fluid temperature, so check your operating temperature against the 600 psi at 100°F to 100 psi at 375°F range before installation.
The 3/4 in female pipe threads accept standard male NPT fittings. Use it as an inline shutoff or service valve on equipment and fluid distribution lines that run within its rated pressure.
