The Hyvair BBV-20FP is a 1-1/4 in brass ball valve with female NPT connections and a full port bore. It is built for manual on and off control in industrial piping and is rated to 600 psi at 100°F, falling to 100 psi at 375°F.
A ball valve operates with a quarter turn. A bored ball inside the body rotates to line up with the pipe for flow or turns crosswise to block it, which gives positive shutoff and a clear visual check of valve position.
The full port bore keeps the passage through the ball close to the 1-1/4 in line size. That means more flow and less pressure drop than a reduced port valve of the same size. The body is forged brass.
The BBV-20FP is part of the Hyvair B Series of brass ball valves. The pressure rating changes with fluid temperature, so confirm your operating conditions fall within the 600 psi at 100°F to 100 psi at 375°F range before you install it. Verify steam ratings separately before using the valve on steam.
The 1-1/4 in female pipe threads accept standard male NPT fittings. Use the BBV-20FP as a shutoff on oil and general industrial lines that operate within its rated limits.
