The Hyvair BD05-H5 is a B Series bolt kit for a D05 solenoid valve stacked on five modular valves. It contains four socket head cap screws with 1/4-20 threads, each 12.4 in long.
Modular valves, also called sandwich valves, sit between the solenoid valve and the subplate. The bolts pass through the solenoid valve and all five modular valves before threading into the mounting surface, so their length has to match the height of the stack. Bolts that are too short will not reach full thread engagement, and bolts that are too long can bottom out before the valves clamp tight.
Recommended torque is 105 in-lbs. Tighten the four screws evenly and in steps to the recommended torque so the stack clamps flat and the seals between valve faces compress evenly.
The socket head design lets you drive the screws with a hex key or hex bit, which helps where valves sit close together on a manifold.
When you add or remove a modular valve, the stack height changes and a different bolt kit is needed. Order by part number BD05-H5 to get the four screws described here.
